   I was trying to install for few hours and no luck, i didn't notice any errors until i tried loading :8080 (in guide) and didn't load anything

   I have vps that i can put any of these

   CentOS 5 32bit

   please just give me step by step guide for best way to setup when i mean step by step is that this is clean server nothing is on besides ssh, and the basic operating system and it only comes with apeche, but their is no php or anything else installed so please step by step, clean server, clean start and just give guide that you would recommend, thanks

   Any of these OS can work with MediaCore. Personally I prefer CentOS but choose whatever you feel comfortable with.

   I understand you're asking for a step-by-step guide. There are some guides linked in the forum though I don't think they start from the bare metal.

   Let me ask if a VPS is really the right thing for you. Seriously. Operating a server is not something to take on lightly. You might be subject to litigation and liabilities if your system is badly protected/insecure and some bad guys use it to attack others.

   so far in last 3 weeks of my file hosting site (just opened new site) , i had around 35,000 and seems to be doing well, i am hoping their arn't going to be major security risks, but no matter what their is always going to be, and i cannot afford much so i am working with what i got, i have basically no job, just mostly help people (mostly for free) and i live middle of no where so i want to be having something i like and want to do that doesn't have much affect of my location as long as i have stable high speed connection, so my budget is super small, i spent around $300 total on licences and servers, but i am trying to do my best, so if i see that i start getting heavy load i will move it to a dedicated server, but this is separate vps from my other site, so if you say centos works well with this i can do that, and this script is some what more difficult for me to understand, i use mostly php, html, cgi. and i been trying to get clip bucket which haven't gone to well, i got almost everything to work except higher quality, (something more than 240) and i was more hoping for html5 for idevices and i saw this on a fourm so been trying to install it, and just don't get it very well (then again i been up late most nights) any way i am a visual learner and learn better when i get something to work then i work backwards in understanding code, but this is just not working for me, so i just really want the best (recommended) way of setting this up, please help, i want my own site to make help videos anything from iphones to help with computers, and want others to use and share their own videos, and maybe some day if i can afford it start getting licences for shows and movies

   anyway sorry i'm talking to much, but please help
