On my (otherwise perfectly functioning) installation, mostly everything runs fine. However, from time to time I'm getting users inside a corporate network unable to post a comment - they get redirected to a whoops 500 internal error page. I've checked the logs and this is what is noted there:
[Thu Nov 04 15:32:09 2010] [error] [client 195.XX.XXX.XX] Error - <class 'sqlalchemy.exc.DataError'>: (DataError) (1264, "Out of range value for column 'author_ip' at row 1") 'INSERT INTO comments (media_id, subject, created_on, modified_on, reviewed, publishable, author_name, author_email, author_ip, body) VALUES (%s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s)' (6L, 'Re: myvideo', datetime.datetime(2010, 11, 4, 15, 32, 8, 968000), datetime.datetime(2010, 11, 4, 15, 32, 8, 968000), False, False, 'user name', 'user@domain.com', 3272327194L, '<p>test</p>'), referer: http://mysite.com/media/myvideo/comment
I've obscured the user data and IP address there - but it's a valid one at the beginning of the statement. I have no idea what 3272327194L is mind you!
Any ideas/fixes?
TIA
