Hi,
I need to run several instances of MediaCore running trough FCGI. After installing I have one problem: all instances get templates from single location. I want to use one virtual env for all instances. I tried to use different egg values in pylons config. Packages was installed also with different names, I mean name='MediaCore' was changed in setup.py script.
What is the right way to do such install? Should I install new virtual environment for each instance?

A new virtualenv for each installation is the best bet. I don't have much experience deploying with FastCGI but I can verify that multiple deployments on Apache+mod_wsgi with separate virtualenvs works great.

It is working only with separate virtualenvs. Suddenly enough, but not critical.

Unfortunately question is still opened.
I have tried to install mediacore with both single virtualenv and separated environments for each application. First case has problem with templates: all instances uses templates from only one of the running applications. At the second case I have solved problem with templates, but media upload stopped working. SWFUpload raise 2038 error at the end of media uploading process.
Does anybody have a few running instances of mediacore? I can use mod_wsgi instead of mod_fcgid.
I have similar problem, but several instances virtual_env all other models are taking the first modified layout layout.html
toshka, did you remember to set the permissions on the "data" directories in each installation? If that doesn't fix it, be sure to check your Apache error_log for a detailed error message.
