When we designed the latest tab in the MediaCore front-end interface we were planning on it being used for homepages. You might not want to take up an entire homepage with a grid-view, so we came up with the alternative "latest" view to provide a snapshot of the most recent 15 videos.

Since then we've realized that many sites don't run Python on their homepages (in our current live implementation for a client it is used in conjunction with WordPress). As a result of this, we've begun to think that this interface should be more verbose and would essentially function as an overview of any MediaCore install.
To the interface we are considering adding:
- Most popular videos this month (based on like/comment ratio)
- Most popular videos this year
- Most popular podcasts
- Featured videos (using the tag featured). This would be done so a site administrator could promote certain videos or podcasts and not others.
- Featured podcasts
