Greetings. I work for a writers festival, and we create a LOT of video content. The issue is one of management and storage. During just one festival we will create 60 hours of video content. And I have years of back content on hard drives.
Been seeking a method of managing, delivering and storing this content. I would also like to stream to as many devices as possible, including podcasting etc.
One other thing I would like to accomplish for the writers festival is to monetize some of the content to raise funds for their charity that brings authors into schools to excite young people to read books and improve literacy.
My question is simple - is MediaDrop the right package? As these people are running this festival full time, there are not a lot of funds available. I am planning on using a computer I already have as a test to get started. My Linux skills are not very good, but I am tenacious when it comes to this stuff -
so is it worth the time and effort? Stable? Works? Not too difficult to manage? And is it possible to add monetization to the package.
Thanks.
