Dear community,
i am not a programming expert but have quite some experience in setting up content management systems. I thought Mediacore would be just as easy to install as any CMS... upload via FTP, install and go, but obviously it doesn't work like that.. It would be great if someone could answer my questions for basic understanding about how this works.

Do I really need to create a virtual environment with Python before I can use the software? Or is there a way to install my Mediacore online and then do manual template work that I can upload in some template folder?

First of all, I have no Python and have to ask our admin to set it up locally. But nevertheless i read the documentation to find out what to do in the next step once Python is installed. I tried to get to the point where the documentation says "upload your files on your webspace and use mediacore" - but I couldn't find anything like that.
So can anyone give me a hint of how to get Mediacore on my webspace?
