   Hello,

   Is there a way i can install this script on a shared hosting at hostgator.

   We're currently looking for people to help test shared hosting with.

   We have found a way to install MediaCore using fast_cgi:
   http://getmediacore.com/docs/install/apache-fastcgi.html

   I'll get Anthony (one of the MediaCore developers) to take a quick look at your post. Have you tried installing it at all?

   Also does hostgator have the following support:
   # Python 2.5.x or newer
   # MySQL 5.0.x or newer

   Yes hostgator has Python but its 2.4.x version and has mysql 5.x.x

   We just had a bunch of patches submitted that should make it compatible with 2.4.x, but they haven't been tested. It's likely these fixes will be with the new version, but it's not a huge priority on the development schedule at the moment.

   I'd ask them if they might be able to upgrade from 2.4 to 2.5
