hi there, sorry for the many questions but i am new to this ;p
1.i have a site with hostgator & a wordpress blog can mediacore be integrated with my blog & be hosted on hostgator?
2. i want to run various banner adds on the site is this possible?
3. do you have a forum feature i would like a forum on my site is this possible?
4. i want to have an image gallery do u have this feature
5. can i test mediacore locally on my mac 10.5.6 using mamp?

1. MediaCore can run on any server that supports Python and MYSQL. You will need root access to install some of the required libraries. I'm not sure if hostgator meets these requirements.
2. Yes it is possible. Under advertising in settings you can add html code for any banners you wish to run (adwords etc.)
3. No, MediaCore is strictly focussed on video - if you want a forum you will need to use something in conjunction with MediaCore. In the past we have run vbulletin, punbb, and bbpress alongside MediaCore.

I'd like to add that I built a very simplistic image upload feature for MediaCore 0.8. The feature was asked a couple of times but so far there was no real commercial interest so I did not port my code to 0.9.
Probably this would require some MediaCore modifications (which I'd try to get upstream) + some plugin code. At least simple image support is absolutely feasible, however without some paying customers I can't work on that currently.
hey Felix, i would defiantly be interested in a photo/pic modification if you did one, how much would it cost and do you have any examples around the place?
well, I built something for Oxfam's OneGOAL campaign last year. Multiple photos per item are possible (though uploading is not really sketched out).
For pricing best contact me directly (info@schwarz.eu) as this really depends on your needs. Probably for the first version I won't build all possible features (otherwise I need to charge a 5-figure euro amount) but just a minimal set which will be enough for you and can be extended later on. If I can get 3-5 participants sharing the cost, a simple solution would be a between 500-900 € each (ball park!).
