When I try to upload files larger than 500Mb, causes the error # 2038.
Files until this size are normally loaded.
I checked my Apache, and there is no restriction on the maximum size of files in POST.
I'm using mod_wsgi with local filesystem storage.
Where is the error produced? We've noticed with really large files that sometimes Flash can crash. We're hoping to resolve this in the future with an HTML5 uploader that can handle much larger file sizes.

What do you mean by "causes the error # 2038."? Do you see an error in your web browser (which one?) or in the server logs? Can you please post the <b>exact</b> error you're seeing? Please also write any setup information (Linux distribution, version number, …) if you think these might be relevant and helpful.
This error occurs in upload form of MediaCore, specifically in swiff.upload, immediately after selecting a large file (over 500mb).
My operating system is Ubuntu 10.04 Server, Apache 2.2.14 with mod_wsgi and MediaCore 0.9 - from git repository.
The server's log does not record anything about this error.
Already tested in several browsers (Firefox, Opera and Safari), and found that only browser is working to upload large files is Google Chrome - tested in his latest release.

Again, please send the exact error message, either a screenshot or a verbatim copy. If this is a JS error, please also get a JS traceback.
If your instance is public, please share a link so we can try as well.

as I said in previous messages, this error has no apparent reason, being intermittent and only occurs with large files (greater than 500Mb).
in certain types of browsers and versions of flash player, the error does not occur.
Well, as Jeremy mentioned this is very likely a Flash bug (one of many). For now I think you have to use a browser+flash combination that works and a future HTML5 upload will fix the issue.

I guess I get the same error here. I try to upload a 350Mb file, and usually ends up with:
Error caused a send or load operation to fail (Error #2038)
at the end of the upload. Sometimes the upload will work, but it will not work when I try to play it.
Have tried different OS´s and different browsers.
The funny thing is that I can see the file as uploaded:

...
60-merg-720x576_h246_1000kbps.mp4
61-elaerings_seminar-480x270_h264_768kbps.mp4
[foobar@jako media]$ ls -l
...
-rw-rw-r--. 1 mediacore mediacore 368568568 Nov 9 12:05 61-elaerings_seminar-480x270_h264_768kbps.mp4
...but when the playback fails, it is looking for the same file with a different name
"Video not found or access denied: http://jako.uia.no/files/61e-laering-hva-er-na-det.mp4"
The file has the name from the permalink, and not it´s original filename.

Even after renaming the filename to match: 61e-laering-hva-er-na-det.mp4 it will still not play.
All smaller sized files works fine.
Any Ideas?
PS: Have translated Mediacore into Norwegian, as you can see from the link above...
Additional information:
A file with size 240 Mb works fine, but a 320 Mb, and larger files won´t work.
Is it normal ?????
