   I am using Centos64, and am (line-by-line) following:
   http://mediadrop.net/docs/install/index.html

   I downloaded the tar file via the instructions.

   When I go to run:
   > python setup.py develop

   I get an error [1] (see below).

   The ONLY way for me to get things to work is to:
   > # activate my virtualenv
   > python setup.py develop # get error about PasteDeploy [1]
   > pip install PasteDeploy
   > python setup.py develop # re-running it

   This is odd, because it looks like PasteDeploy is on:
   http://static.mediadrop.net/dependencies/0.10/

   Do you have any ideas/patches? Thanks!

   Thanks dbinoj. :)

   That's essentially the workaround that I'm doing:
   > pip install PasteDeploy

   The problem comes with trying to automate the installation (which you want/need for a production deployment), as well as others who will come across this problem.

   Felix and others, is this possibly a problem with easy_install? Can pip be used instead?

   Also, If I go the 'git' route instead of the tar, this is what I have to do:

   
> git checkout v0.10.3
> pip install paste
> pip install PasteDeploy
> python setup.py develop


   I'm on a vagrant VM running centOS 6.4
