hi,
Your software looks great, but can I have users to upload to my website? Meaning all the videos on my website I would host on my website? Also having my own video player?
thanks

Users can upload to your own website, and all the videos can be hosted on your website, or on YouTube, Vimeo, or Google video if you choose to host them there.
If you would like to use your own video player instead of the built-in FlowPlayer then drop in your own favorite player by editing the media player template. See line 200 of mediacore/templates/helpers.html.
We are working on creating a more expansive demo where you will be able to check out the front-end, upload a video, and then play with how it works in the administrative control panel.

hi,
so this is pretty much just like youtube? and other software like phpmotion -
Well it is similar to YouTube in that there is a video grid. It is different in that the source of the videos can be from everywhere.
One of the major differences between the MediaCore platform and other platforms is that it is an all-in-one media solution. If you do videos and podcasting then this is definitely the solution for you.
MediaCore also allows users to upload videos directly, which is also different than a lot of other platforms. Once the videos are uploaded they can be encoded by an administrator and added to the site.
Another small difference is that it's written in Python and not PHP so it's serving the Python community, not the PHP community.

Hi,
Would this be a platform to take into consideration if you're planning to run a Screencast Video Podcast (in 2 different languages) ? Can you have members / non members things ? E.g. paying members getting access to high res videos while non paying members get SD videos.
I will be trying this system out when I can find some spare time. Looks quite promising.
Regards,
Stefaan
